Under the heading "What is in your mind after the holiday?", the Adevărul notes that the "Initial evaluation has blocked activity in schools and high schools".
In short, the newspaper depicts the situation as following: "Teachers are complaining they work too much and students have started to skip school". The reason is apparently that students are over burdened by the number of tests in a short period.
On the other side, the efforts of the teachers are substantial, the newspaper adds, taking into consideration that the tests were made by professors from each school.
Experts in education welcome the Minister’s initiative, although they believe that standard tests would have been necessary to be able to make comparisons between institutions.
"Farewell auctions with dedication", the Jurnalul Naţional headlines and continues in the subtitle: "The historic of the disputes, the letter of good standing or the NACE main code are only a few such restrictive criteria".
The Cotidianul explains: "The large number of irregularities detected in public contracts in the last years has prompted authorities to verify the documentation for distribution of the contracts, before the submission for publication of the participation invite.
The novelty consists in the fact that the verification will be performed by the employees of the National Authority for Regulation and Monitoring of Public Procurement, following recent amendments of the legislation in the area.
"Drought, scrap iron thieves paradise", the România Liberă reads, referring to the Danube wrecks that are starting to come up to the surface as a result of the low river level.
The publication makes the inventory of the wrecks which can be recovered by the authorities at lower prices than usual, and notes that, meanwhile, the scrap steel thieves are the ones moving the fastest.
Finally, the Evenimentul Zilei presents "Stenographs of the file Football in handcuffs: after the ‘Wurst’ business follows the operation ‘Wedding wine’".
The articles presents chronologically the declarations of the ones arrested in the scandal of the fixed games, which claim they have not paid or received thousands of euro, but a mere picture in relief, wrapped in an envelope, also refused because it had no receipt.
The newspaper also details the evolution of the scandal in football after the arrest of businessman Sorin Ţerbea and the president of the Central Referee Commission, Vasile Avram, and presents the evidence collected in the file, on one hand and the position of the ones involved, on the other.
