Yesterday’s car crash that involved TV host, Şerban Huidu, and that resulted in two dead, is the main topic found in the media today.
“From victim to involuntary manslaughter: Şerban Huidu, the second death encounter”, the Evenimentul Zilei wrote of the front page.
The newspaper gave details about the car crash and also revealed the possible legal consequences of the tragedy.
However, there were noted the opinions of a psychiatrist and neurology specialist, discussing the necessity of evaluating the persons that suffered injuries, due to the risk that the event might be repeated.
Under the heading “The long road to the limitation of important files”, the România Liberă makes an analysis of the most common strategies used to delay some notorious trials.
According to the newspaper, the much-awaited verdict in the corruption cases of current or former officials delay to occur even at 5 -6 years after having sent them to court.
Also,the daily gave concrete examples of such cases and summarized the allegations, the trial development and the delay reasons used by the defense.
“Roma underworld clans rule Timişoara”, the Jurnalul Naţional headlined.
The author wrote a summary of the activities of persons who occupied several buildings in the historic city center and beyond, and reviewed their assets and the way they developed “business”.
The same publication also described the reaction of the Romanian authorities to this phenomenon, but also the ones from other countries where the members of the mentioned clans operated.
Finally, the Adevărul published “Everything on the winter tires law”.
The article noted that the entry into force of this legislation, from 1 November, led to discussions on the various interpretations of the document and explained, together with representatives of the Traffic Police, the problems reported by the newspaper’s readers.
In addition, the Adevărul gave the alternative to new tires for winter in a guidebook that drivers may use when buying retreaded tires.
