”The economy is growing. Do we have reasons to be optimistic?”, the Curierul Naţional rhetorically asks.
The newspaper makes a summary of the figures registered in the first nine months, compared to the same period of 2010 and notes the opinion of the president of the National Union of Private Employers in Romania on the 2012 financial perspectives, considering that ”the weather forecast is not very encouraging for farmers”.
It seems however that ”the economic recovery is not experienced at a tax collection level, because – as stated by State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Dan Lazăr, the agriculture is not fiscal”.
The topic is developed also by the Evenimentul Zilei, which also underlines that Romania had the biggest economic growth in the European Union in the third trimester. The publication lists the factors which could favor the maintenance of the growth registered this year – which is quite difficult to meet according to the analysts quoted in the article.
The Evenimentul Zilei also presents under the title ”What China can do for Romania”, an interview taken in Beijing to Zhu Xiaozhong, a professor at the Chinese Academy of Social Science.
He spoke about the domains where the Chinese Government intends to invest in Romania, and also about the economic situation at a European level and the possible solutions to get out of this blockage.
”Presidential ultimatum for the DLP”, the România Liberă headlines. The author of the article considers that the president is more trenchant than ever with the DLP and exemplifies – we quote: ”the corrupted people in the party should not rely on a certain support and the danger of entering the opposition is as realistic as anything else.”
The tough warning comes at the end of a long series of mistakes from those in PDL – the publication believes – and is listing the topics which sparked disputes between Traian Băsescu and the democrat-liberals.
The Adevărul brings to our attention”The short list of the DLP for the Senate”. The Cotidianul reveals that Vasile Blaga, Radu Berceanu and Petru Filip are the democrat-liberal choices to replace the Senate president, Mircea Geoană, in case he will be excluded from the Party in the SDP Executive Committee next week.
Additionally, the plans of the SDP President Victor Ponta are being detailed, as well as the atmosphere within the organization and the possibility that Mircea Geoană will create his own party.
