Bucharest will host, on 1st December 2018, the largest national parade after December 1990. Around 4,000 troops and specialists from the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Romanian Intelligence Service and National Administration of Penitentiaries will parade under the Arc de Triomphe, with more than 200 technical means. Around 500 soldiers from 22 allied and partner countries will join the parade alongside the Romanian troops.
Foreign troops will be from Albania, Bulgaria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Republic of Moldova , Slovakia, USA, Turkey and Ukraine.
Commander of the parade will be Lieutenant-General Adrian Tonea, Deputy Chief of Defense, veteran of theaters of operations, for the fourth time Head of the 1 December national parade. After the armored vehicles pass under the Arc de Triomphe, 50 aircraft will engage in an aerial flypast over the parade area, as RRA Military Reporter, Radu Dobrițoiu says. Battle technique will include for the first time six Pirana V wheeled armored vehicles, equipped with ground attack systems. These are conveyors with a maximum level of armor which this year will be manufactured in Romania at the Mechanical Plant in Bucharest.
Also for the first time there will be anti-tank missiles installed on Humvee lightweight armored vehicle.
