National Flag Day is celebrated in Romania

Today is National Flag Day in Romania. On this occasion, President Klaus Iohannis has sent a message in which he points out that the national flag is now alongside the flags of our allies and partners.

Together with them, we share common values and ideals in international missions under the aegis of NATO, the EU or the UN, he added.

The President of the Senate, Nicolae Ciuca, emphasized that the Tricolor must be honored and served, doing our duty to the homeland, wherever we are.

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu also called for unity around the national flag, as a sign of respect for history and for the country we want to leave to future generations: a modern Romania, able to face the challenges in the NATO security area and of the European democratic values.
