Former prime minister motivated his intention by the fact that the application is no longer justified.
Basically, the former Prime Minister’s application was made when he was hospitalized in Floreasca, and meanwhile he was imprisoned and began his sentence at Jilava prison hospital.
After the hearing, Adrian Năstase’s lawyer said he will not submit a new application for termination of the sentence.

The decision was challenged by Adrian Năstase's lawyers at the Court of Appeal.
