NAFA needs young staff, says the president of the institution

Articol de Radiojurnal, 22 Mai 2022, 23:59

Director: Ciprian Sasu - Only half of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration employees have responsibilities in the fiscal inspection or in the collection of revenues to the state budget, draws the attention of the president of the institution, Lucian Ovidiu Heius. He also says that the National Agency for Fiscal Administration needs young staff, given that, at the moment, only 15% of the total are under 40 years old. In addition, there is a need for continuous professional training of employees, but these are not the only problems of the Tax Office, says Lucian Ovidiu Heius.

Lucian Ovidiu Heius: I found, unfortunately, that the National Agency for Fiscal Administration was still underfunded and this is a problem; you also need to provide resources so that you can get the results you want. We have the same problems related to the endowment with computer technology, but which I think occurs in the whole administration in Romania. Colleagues told me that the two years of pandemic in which work handled differently, somehow led the NAFA official to a certain state, in a lethargy and we must act very firmly for people to return to work in pre-pandemic style.

Producer: Lucian Ovidiu Heius is convinced that, upon budget rectification, NAFA will receive the additional amounts it needs and appreciates that a platform should be created to allow the online sale of seized goods for their capitalization.
