Multisecular fir-tree in Sibiu in the final of European Tree 2020

Multisecular fir-tree of around 500 years in Sibiu County, Romania, is one of the finalists in the European Tree of Year 2020.
Named Guardian of Cibin Valley, it is the only tree in Romania that has been proposed for this competition and has reached the final, announces the Environmental Partnership Association (EPA), a group of six European environmental foundations.
Among other finalists are The Tree of Freedom (Belgium), the Venerable Oak in Novo Selo Village (Bulgaria), Ginkgo from Daruvar (Croatia), Guardian of the Flooded Village (Czech Republic), The Witch Tree (The Netherlands).
Voting for the European Tree of the Year 2020 starts on 1 February.
