Multinational military aerial and naval exercises are taking place these days in the Black Sea, Constanţa area.
RRA correspondent Mona Constantinescu: "I am in the Port of Constanţa, where the USS Porter (DDG-78), the guided missile destroyer that arrived in Constanţa on 22 August, left the harbor to participate, together with the Romanian 'Horia Macelariu' Corvette, in a series of joint exercises in the Black Sea, in order to increase the level of interoperability between the participating vessels.
Exercises in the Black Sea are not the only ones in the area.
Four Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) CF-188 fighters arrived at the Kogălniceanu Military Base near Constanţa on 21 August, to participate, alongside Romanian MIG-21 Lancers, on NATO Enhanced Air Policing Missions, for the following four months.
These joint military exercises will contribute to the development of the response and deterrence capacity, as well as to the enhancement of the interoperability between the Romanian and Canadian Forces".
According to AGERPRES, the Romanian-American naval drills will end on 28 August.
