Motion concerning ethnobotanical plants rejected by deputies
The simple motion initiated by the Social-Democrats and Liberals regarding ethnobotanical plants has been rejected by the Chamber of Deputies, with 135 ‘nay’ votes and 164 ‘yes’ votes.

The deputies have rejected the motion on legal drugs with 135 ‘yes’ votes and 164 ‘nay’ votes.
The motion entitled ‘A National Scourge-Ethnobotanical Plants’ was debated by deputies on Monday.
At the same time, Minister of Administration and Interior, Traian Igas, declared in the Chamber’s plenum that all the measures adopted so far have determined to limit the proliferation of head shops.
‘If, in 2010, 373 shops of this profile were in function, at present there are only 26 units. Nearly 350 shops have been closed since last year until now. I assure you that we will not stop here’, the minister stated.
In his turn, Minister of Health, Attila Cseke, has said that the issue has been politicized by the opposition and that the common interest has been set aside in the political struggle.
In the session for the final vote, deputies decided not to vote the law that allow the local authorities to set the stray dogs on euthanasia and send it to the Administrative Commission in order to re-examine it.
The Liberal deputy, Eugen Nicolăescu, has stated that this commission has got the duty to openly organize the debates regarding the normative law.
In his turn, the leader of the Democrat-Liberals, Mircea Toader, has said again that the law, in its present shape, decentralize the local administration and he has called the mayors’ organizations to take part in his debate.
