Moscow calls the meeting at the Ramstein military base in Germany a "dangerous escalation"

On Friday, Russia qualified as a "provocation" and a "dangerous escalation" the meeting of Kyiv's western allies in Germany focused on new military aid for Ukraine, while Russian troops announce that they are advancing in the east and southeast of Ukrainian territory, reports EFE taken over by Agerpres.
"We consider this as an open provocative instigation on the part of the West, which raises the stakes of the conflict, which will inevitably lead to an increase in the number of victims and a dangerous escalation," said the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
The new arms deliveries "will not change anything in terms of Russia's progress in achieving its goals", warned the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, for his part.
According to him, "one should not exaggerate the importance of the new military aid in terms of its ability to make a difference" on the battlefield because, on the contrary, he opined, "it will create even more problems for Ukraine" due to the "maintenance and the repairs" that these weapons will need.
The Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine, which brings together more than 50 of Kyiv's allies, focused on Friday on the request for additional military support for Ukraine, including the supply of German Leopard 2 tanks.
Although it received promises of new arms deliveries, Kyiv did not get a definitive answer on Germany's supply of Leopard tanks.
