More than ten refugee trains have arrived in Iasi in the last two days. Ukrainians, but also citizens of other nationalities, who worked in the Kyiv and Kharkov areas, and who were among the last to manage to escape from these regions, which have been under bombardment by the Russian army for several days, with transports organized by the companies they worked for, arrived in Romania. Many have moved on to the airport or to Bucharest, but there are also people who hope to reunite their family before continuing on their way. People recounted the difficult conditions in which they spent the last days.
"Sirens went off, people went underground, they fired rockets and people died..." The woman has two more children and hopes her husband will also arrive. She suffers for those who remained there, because not everyone has the opportunity to leave.
Host: 38 centers are organized in Iasi, where 1.400 refugees can be accommodated, and so far less than 10% of those who arrived there have decided to stay. Most of them want to go to Western Europe, say our colleagues from Radio Romania Iasi.
