RADOR RADIO ROMANIA (11 February) - Approximately 7.3 million Ukrainian citizens have entered Romania in the last two years, including in the period before the outbreak of Russia's war against Ukraine.
The Border Police reported that more than 38.000 Ukrainians have crossed the borders in the last week, and in the last 24 hours, none have applied for asylum in Romania.
In contrast, since the beginning of the conflict, almost 4.500 Ukrainian citizens have applied for asylum in Romania.
They benefit from all the rights provided by national law, according to the interior ministry.
Currently, the occupancy rate of the accommodation centres of the General Inspectorate for Immigration is almost 30%.
