More than 800 doctors have gone abroad since the beginning of the year and more than 14,000 since the entry into the European Union, said the President of the Doctors College in Romania, said Vasile Astărăstoae, professor doctor at the European Council Meeting of Doctors ' Orders.
He also said that it will create a professional association of medical staff what will trigger actions that cause the Government to take action.
"We have asked the Government to bring the medical profession in what is called, a clerk or an equivalent of an official, and I have asked that by combined measures to increase the incomes of doctors starting with residential doctors.
"Right now, first of all, we create an Association of health professionals and we'll talk to have marches, demonstrations until the system crashes through the resignation of the medical staff, because the current situation cannot continue," said Vasile Astărăstoae.
According to the President of the Doctors College in Romania, the necessary measures to be taken are blocked at the Ministry of Finance.
"At this point, the relationship with the Ministry of Health is a normal relationship and partnership. Unfortunately, the blockage is at the Ministry of Finance, "said Vasile Astărăstoae.
Public health in Romania, "in danger"
Representatives of the European Council of Doctors ' Orders have announced that over 3,000 Romanian doctors working in France and over 1500 in Belgium.
Vice-President of the Council, Xavier Deau warns, however, that their departure would endanger public health in Romania.
"I want to ask you a question. Why Romania continues to pay doctors with 300 euros a month while in France's minimum wage is ten times bigger? I have already visited Bucharest and there does not seem to me so poor Romania.
"I marvel that there is this financial problem, because it forms the basis for migration practitioners. It's an issue of the remuneration of doctors that you should fix it and not the French, "said Xavier Deau.
