More than 233.000 Romanians have been vaccinated against COVID-19, since the beginning of the national vaccination campaign, and so far there have been just over 800 common and minor side effects reported.
Doctor Valeriu Gheorghita, the coordinator of the national vaccination campaign against COVID-19, specified that in the second stage of immunization that started at the end of last week, 299 vaccination centers were opened, and their number will increase in the next period.
Valeriu Gheorghita: We are certainly not the first in Europe, but we are not the last either and what we are interested in is to increase people's access to vaccination. We intend to open several vaccination centers progressively and in accordance with the number of doses that will be delivered in Romania, so as to ensure to anyone who is vaccinated, both the first dose and the booster.
