Mirela Zafiri soprano has died
Mirela Zafiri will be buried in Lugoj, her hometown, towards which the funeral convoy left for Monday morning.

Soprano Mirela Zafira, a familiar name in the national and international art scene, deceased Monday from an incurable disease before the age of 41.
The Prime- singer of Brasov Opera was born in Lugoj and studied piano, viola and guitar since her early years of school.
She was licensed in singing at the National University of Music Bucharest.
In 2009, Mirela Zafiri achieved a unique performance in Romanian classical music world, releasing three CDs, including one triple.
For this performance, the soprano was named the "Person of the Year" at the Union of Composers and Musicologists in Bucharest.

Soprano Felicia Filip stated Monday for Mediafax that Zafiri Mirela’s death, whom she called an artist of great value, always concerned with her career, is a great loss both for music and for her family.
The Musical Secretary of Brasov Opera, Ovidiu Mezei said for Mediafax that Mirela Zafira, who was employed in the institution since 2001, but lived in Bucharest, began to have health problems at the end of last year and the last show on the lyrical stage of Brasov was held this year on March 31st, in the title role of "Lucia di Lammermoor".
For remarkable performances of the Romanian lied, was awarded the Music Actuality prize for 2000.
Also, she received the first prize at the European Song Contest "Euterpe" singing section, Taranto (Lama) Italy, in December 2002, Competition Citta 'di Castelfidardo, Castelfidardo, Ancona, February 2003, Arts Festival in Pyongyang, Korea, April 2003, Golden Chrysanthemum, Targoviste 2004, as well as the award of Excellence for promoting the Romanian lied, Brasov, May 2003.
