The Ministry of National Defence will continue this year to check the state of readiness of the population, the economy and the national territory for defence through mobilisation exercises.
Employers are obliged to ensure the presence of reservists at exercises and to offer them paid leave during mobilisation.
Mobilisation exercises are carried out every year in accordance with the legislation in force on the state of mobilisation and the preparation of the population for defence.
The Ministry announced that in 2024 such exercises will be organised in six counties, with the times and venue to be specified in good time by the institution's public information structures.
According to the Ministry of Defence, these are routine exercises, aimed at providing units with human and material resources, achieving operational cohesion between active and reserve military personnel, as well as training specific to each weapon.
Employers are obliged to ensure the presence of employees who are reservists and to offer them additional paid leave of up to 5 days, on the basis of a certificate issued by the military centre.
All activities are part of this year's plan to check the state of readiness of the population, economy and territory for defence, a document approved by the Supreme Council of National Defence.
The Ministry of Defence also informs that it will continue to update the personal data of reservists in military centres, in accordance with the legislation in force.
