Authorities are resuming the call for vaccination, given that the fourth wave of the pandemic, with the predominant and more aggressive Indian strain, could arrive in Romania sooner than we expected.
The Minister of Health, Ioana Mihaila, stated two days ago that the hospitals are ready for a new wave of patients, but that the medical staff must be vaccinated. Otherwise, those who are not immunized will have to be tested periodically, most likely paying by themselves, said Ioana Mihaila.
Ioana Mihaila: The medical staff who are not vaccinated will probably have to be tested periodically, with costs supported by the person being tested, not by the management, nor by the Ministry of Health, in order for the patient to be safe.
