Military pensions are service pensions, and not special pensions, claims Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca.
He announced on Thursday, July 21, that the leaders of the governing coalition have decided that the regulation of salaries and pensions will be analyzed in working groups established at the Ministry of Labour.
Nicolae Ciuca stated that representatives of government structures, employers, trade unions and civil society will be part of these groups.
"By the end of the year, let's be able to have what will represent the fulfillment of our milestone in the NRRP for salaries and for pensions, because we are basically discussing what it means to balance, eliminate inequities and all the problems that we know in the salary and pension system", Nicolae Ciuca.
The Minister of Labor, Marius Budai, claims that the executive should not accept the condition that the total pensions should fall within 9.4% of the Gross Domestic Product, a percentage provided for in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
He conveyed on a social network that there are over four million Romanian workers in the European Union who were trained by the Romanian state and currently contribute to the European economies.
