Military and religious celebrations on Romania's Memorial Day
Christians around the world are celebrating the Ascention on Thursday also called Ispas in Romania according to the country's old traditions.

Christians around the world are celebrating the Ascention on Thursday also called Ispas in Romania according to the country's old traditions.
But Romanians are expected to pay their respects to their heroes as the country is also observing its Memorial Day.
Military ceremonies and religious services are expected in places where Romania's heroes fought wars defending their country.
Participants will include both active and retired servicemen along with war veterans and officials representing local auhtorities.
"Our country has gone through a lot of harships with huge losses as people died on war frontlines in Romania and other countries as well. All these people gave their lives for the country and they deserved all our respect and gratitude for making our life in Romania a dream come true", retired Counter Adm. Petre Zamfir told RADIO ROMANIA.
