Former Minister of Defense, Mihai Fifor, has been elected, on Sunday afternoon, President of PSD National Council.
According to PSD new statute, PSD Council is composed of Social Democrat parliamentarians, ministers, county council chairmen, mayors of county seats, mayors of big cities, three mayors from main communes of each county, leader of the League of Local Elected Officials and social-democratic members of the European Parliament (MEPs).
ALDE President Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu and Justice Minister Tudorel Toader have also attended Sunday’s meeting of the PSD National Council at Bucharest’s Palace of Parliament, where 600 social democrats have been present, says RRA Reporter Cătălin Purcaru.
