In order to implement the indefinite staff reductions, the termination of service of staff whose dismissal has been approved, or of individual employment contracts, as the case may be, and of staff whose pension is combined with their salary, regardless of the type of pension, will be carried out in order.
It will also start retirement procedures for those who meet the conditions and will also clarify the situation of staff seconded to other institutions.
Ciprian Serban, President of the Chamber of Deputies: Last year we made 50 posts redundant, this year 240, we are about to go even further. We have also gone into the committee chairmen. Now that dignitary's man disappears; he effectively leaves the committee. Vice-chairs lose a cabinet man.
On the other hand, the vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies, USR representative Catalin Drula, claims that all these measures do not represent a real reorganization, but only a mimed one.
Catalin Drula: In fact, the Chamber of Deputies has been suffocated by piles and this restructuring is a mimicry of a form of efficiency, when, in fact, it only eliminates vacant posts, possibly those who are retiring and, at the limit, some people who are in the contractual area, that is, those who weigh the least on the budget, because those contracts you could break anyway.
If last week the employees of the Chamber of Deputies protested, they announced that for now they are waiting for the new organizational chart and then they will act accordingly.
The internal memorandum will be put to a plenary vote in the first sitting of the new parliamentary session.
