Romanian-German defense cooperation, both at bilateral and multinational level, within NATO, the European Union and the United Nations peacekeeping missions – have been discussed, on Wednesday, at the Romanian Ministry of Defense (MApN), by Romanian Minister of Defense, Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă, and German Ambassador to Bucharest, Cord Meier-Klodt.
Agenda also included the good cooperation between the two countries within NATO’s Framework Nations Concept (FNC). The two officials expressed commitment to continue efforts in terms of joint development of capabilities, informs MApN in a press release.
Minister of Defense Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă thanked Germany for its expertise in the preparatory process for dislocation in Mali of the Romanian military detachment, which, starting October 2019, contributes for one year to the efforts to maintain peace in this African region, within the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).
