Measures to limit the spread of the new coronavirus variant

Vaccination must be maintained at a high rate, says the head of the Department for Emergency Situations, Raed Arafat, who confirmed that Romania is now applying the measures established at European level to limit the spread of the new variant of coronavirus.

He points out that these measures are currently related to blocking access for citizens from African countries which are on the red zone list and applying the quarantine measure to repatriated people.

There have been no discussions regarding the closing of EU member states borders.
