Mayor of Timișoara: EC appreciates Romania's Western Alliance
At the end of last year, Mayors of Timișoara, Arad, Cluj and Oradea signed the act of setting up the Western Alliance to attract European funds for the economic development of the area.

Romania’s Western Alliance has had a working meeting, at the Timișoara City Hall, with representatives of the European Commission. Mayors of Cluj, Arad and Timișoara, together with Directors of the West and Northwest Regional Development Agencies, talked with members of the EC General Directorate for Regional and Urban Policy and presented the major projects of interest to the region, in particular in the field of road infrastructure.
Representatives of the European Commission provided information on current possibilities to obtain European funds directly from Brussels on the budgetary exercise 2021-2027 and appreciated the initiative to set up the Western Alliance, Mayor of Timișoara, Nicolae Robu, announced on his Facebook page.
