Marian Enache is the new president of the Romanian Constitutional Court

Marian Enache is the new president of the Romanian Constitutional Court. He was elected today, with the unanimous vote of CCR members, for a three-year term, the court said in a statement.
Marian Enache has been a judge at the Constitutional Court since 2016 and has a nine-year term. He was a deputy from FSN, PDSR and PSD, an adviser to the President of Romania Ion Iliescu, but also a Romanian Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova.
Also today, three new judges of the Constitutional Court took the oath of office: Mihaela Ciochina, former adviser to the Presidential Administration, Iulia Scantei, former senator and chairman of the Senate Legal Commission and Bogdan Licu, former first deputy general prosecutor of Romania. The three were appointed CCR judges for 9-year terms.
