Negotiations between PNL, PSD and UDMR for the formation of a new government coalition are not over yet. Even yesterday, the representatives of the three parties did not manage to agree on the name of the future prime minister.
The PSD leader, Marcel Ciolacu, gave assurances that next week Romania will have a government with full powers, something agreed with the leaders of PNL and UDMR.
However, the meeting of the negotiating teams scheduled for yesterday afternoon did not take place, because of a change in the Liberals' schedule, as the first vice-president of PSD Sorin Grindeanu said. The meeting will be rescheduled.
Also, PSD decided unanimously by voting that the party's president, Marcel Ciolacu, is their proposal for prime minister with which the Social Democrats go to negotiations with PNL.
At the same time, they also decided that they agree with the prime minister's rotation system. Meanwhile, the PNL leader, Florin Citu, declared that the decision of his party's leadership was for the prime ministers' rotation to start with PNL, without a name being established yet.
