The training ship "Mircea" returned today from its 6-week international training tour in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
Present at the welcoming ceremony organized in the Military Port of Constanta, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu thanked the Romanian students from the Naval Academy and the foreign students who were on board the ship, as well as the Romanian Naval Forces.
Marcel Ciolacu: This sailing ship has once again successfully assumed the role of Romania's ambassador. Looking at this incredible ship, which has been plying the world's waters for 85 years, I wholeheartedly believe that it is one of the most efficient, elegant and well-prepared ambassadors our country has had in the last century. It is up to each and every one of you to cherish the "Mircea" training ship as we should, to be proud of its extraordinary history and to make full use of its potential, because in this way, the Romanian Navy will always have a future that matches the talent and strength of character of those who are part of this elite corps of our Army. I wish you every success!
During the march of over 3400 nautical miles, the symbolic ambassador of Romania on the seas and oceans of the world made representation stops in the ports of Piraeus in Greece, Livorno in Italy, Toulon in France, Palermo in Italy and Bodrum in Turkey.
