Many of the Capital's museums have opened this weekend
Many of the Capital's museums have opened this weekend, alongside seven pedestrian areas.
The Capital City Hall has decided to close the traffic on certain streets, in order to reduce the possible congestion of the parks.
The 7 promenades are open only on weekends and are located in what we call the interwar part of the Capital, such as Calea Victoriei, Universitate, Polona street, Dacia boulevard, George Enescu street, but also on segments of newer areas, such as Unirii Boulevard and Eroilor Boulevard.
At the History Museum you can see a temporary exhibition of gold objects from 16th century China, objects that come from the tombs of imperial families. The National Museum of Art is also open and, opposite of it, the small "Theodor Aman" museum.
Further on, the Museum of Art Collections, the "George Enescu" Museum and less well known but also unique, the Museum of Ages from Filipescu Cesianu House, together with its garden, are now open too.
At its end, in Victoriei Square, we have other famous buildings and museums, such as: the Romanian Peasent Museum, the Museum of Geology, and the Antipa Museum; the last, unfortunately, closed until June 1.
