Major changes in health
Increased quality of medical care can be achieved through a thorough reform in the health system, said the Health Minister, Eugen Nicolaescu.

2013 will be the year of major changes in the health system, reiterated on Saturday Minister Eugen Nicolaescu in a discussion with representatives of the Federal Chamber of Physicians.
The minister said that he proposed a thorough reform in the health system, providing the first increase quality of medical care.
The discussion focused, among other things, funding hospitals, as stated for our radio station Dr. Dan Pereţianu, Vice President of the Federal Chamber of Physicians.
"Regarding the financing of hospitals, in the rules for the framework contract is a provision that says that hospitals will be paid for 2013 based on their performance in terms of complexity of cases were recorded in late 2011.
"For this reason, some hospitals will be paid in 2011 and this, as far as I understand from the Minister, it will be regulated, modifying an annex to the framework contract rules that has the number 17", said Dan Pereţianu.
Health Minister urged the representatives of the Federal Chamber of Physicians to take part in meetings of a working group set up by the Ministry, which works on a new law to pay the medical staff, so doctors should be removed from the budget and payment grid performance.
