"Little Train" Ordinance discussed by the leaders of the ruling coalition at the Victoria Palace

The leaders of the ruling coalition discussed at the Victoria Palace the draft of the emergency ordinance called "Little Train", on the basis of which next year's state budget will be built. Earlier, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu discussed the draft with the majority of ministers, which could be adopted at a government meeting in the coming days. RRA editor Andrei Serban tells us what the ordinance provides.
Reporter: In the working document drafted by the Ministry of Finance, the salaries of state employees will be frozen next year at this month's level.
Budget workers will no longer receive bonuses or other similar entitlements and overtime will not be paid.
They will also stop receiving holiday vouchers.
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays worked will be compensated only with the corresponding time off.
The working document also states that next year, military personnel, police officers and civilian staff of public defense, public order and national security institutions will not be entitled to the reimbursement of tourist services.
From January 1, 2025, competitions or exams to fill vacancies in local governments and public institutions will be suspended.
