Law enforcement busted an international network selling heroin in Romania

Anti-drug cops and DIICOT prosecutors have smashed an international network selling heroin in Romania and other countries.
Law enforcers also seized a quantity of heroin worth more than 250.000 lei on the drugs market.
Four members of the network, made up of Romanians and Albanians, were remanded in custody for 30 days, one of the undercover officers said.
-: All the persons involved were caught in flagrante delicto in two actions carried out in Ilfov and Ialomita counties on September 10 and 11, 2024. On September 12, 2024, DIICOT prosecutors, central structure, ordered the detention of six persons, three Albanian and three Romanian citizens, currently under investigation for high-risk drug trafficking. In this case, the judge of rights and freedoms of the Bucharest Court of First Instance ordered the pre-trial arrest of four of the detained persons and house arrest for the other two.
