Looking to the future, we will try to expand, consolidate and further deepen the US-Romania Strategic Partnership, US Ambassador to Bucharest, Hans Klemm, said at the reception on the occasion of Independence Day, Agerpres reports.
"Now, when we celebrate America's independence, the Centenary of Romania's Great Union and the friendship between America and Romania over the last 100 years, I hope for a stronger partnership as we face the challenges and the extraordinary opportunities that are waiting for us, together," said the US diplomat.
The US will continue to present Romania "as a NATO ally model that fulfills or exceeds its commitments to the Alliance by investing in its defense, by modernizing its capabilities and contributing not only to regional security but also to transatlantic defense and efforts to end conflicts in remote areas such as Afghanistan", Hans Klemm added.
