Klaus Iohannis at the EPP Congress: the current international context is complicated and unstable

The current international context is complicated and unstable, Europe facing many challenges, including extremism, President Klaus Iohannis said at the European People's Party congress in Bucharest.

The head of state added that we need solidarity to revalidate democratic values, centred on freedom, the rule of law and human dignity.

Klaus Iohannis: I am sure that we will find concrete solutions to protect our citizens against the various crises that have not at all eluded us in recent years, whether we are talking about the dangers brought about by a brutal war that is taking place right at Romania's borders, or the need to remain economically competitive so that people's living standards improve significantly.
