Today is Justice Day in Romania, marked every year, on the first Sunday of July.
In the message sent on this occasion, the president of the SCM, Nicoleta Tint, says that it is necessary to maintain the act of justice at the highest standards, in order to protect every citizen against any form of arbitrariness.
In his turn, Prime Minister Ludovic Orban announces that the Government is preparing a legislative initiative to fix what he considers to be the mistakes of previous governments in the laws of justice.
The success of this approach depends on the abandonment of the retrograde agenda of some parliamentary political forces, either voluntarily or through elections - the head of the Government also states.
For President Klaus Iohannis, the fight against corruption remains a priority, because this scourge impedes economic and social development, affects the consolidation of democracy and must therefore be firmly fought.
