The country's gross minimum wage will be increased from 3.300 to 3.700 lei as of tomorrow, according to the executive decision. An employee paid the minimum wage will thus receive an extra 284 lei net per month.
On the other hand, this is the last weekend in which drivers will benefit from lower fuel prices, as excise duties will rise again tomorrow.
Experts' calculations show that a liter of gasoline will cost about RON 0.43 more and diesel about RON 0.4 more.
Some stations have already raised fuel prices since last week, and now the price of a liter of standard gasoline is between RON 6.99 and RON 7.06 per liter, while the price of standard diesel fuel ranges from RON 7.13 to RON 7.19 per liter.
From Monday, gas bills will also change, as ANRE approved an average 19% increase in distribution tariffs.
Also from July 1, the IRCC, the reference index for consumer loans, will fall slightly, from 5.9% to 5.86%, but economic analysts say that this will not have a big impact on the monthly installments of those with loans in national currency, which will be around 4-5 lei, depending on the balance.
