Representatives of the Republic of Moldova and Romanian Parliaments signed a joint statement in Chisinau reiterating their unconditional support for the European course of the Republic of Moldova and the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two states.
At the same time, the document strongly condemns the unjustified and illegal military aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. The President of the Senate, Florin Citu, seemed convinced that the Republic of Moldova will receive the status of candidate for integration into the European Union next week, and the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Marcel Ciolacu, underlined that the joint meeting in Chisinau represents a historic moment.
In his turn, the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Grosu, considers it important that the citizens on both sides of the Prut river are to be found in the great European family.
