RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - More than 20 aircraft from seven NATO member states, as well as air surveillance and ground-based defense systems, participated today in Romania's airspace in a joint enhanced vigilance exercise, led by the Allied Air Command from Germany.
The application simulated the removal of the air defense of a potential adversary from the battle - informs the Ministry of National Defense.
The exercise was intended to demonstrate NATO's ability to plan, coordinate and execute a complex multinational mission in order to secure the alliance's airspace in the event of any type of threat or attack on allied territory.
During the exercise, Romanian and allied fighter aircraft flew at low altitude, between 13:00 and 14:00, in the area of Mihail Kogalniceanu and Capul Midia in Constanta county.
