Iohannis: The results of the elections, victory of the Romanian democracy

President Klaus Iohannis considers the results of the local elections a victory, first of all, of the Romanian democracy, and drew attention that, regardless of the political color, those who have won the trust of the voters are obliged to honor what is expected of them, namely an efficient local public administration that guarantees and provides prosperity.

Klaus Iohannis: Romanians voted for a new direction, one of common sense, of respect for the citizen, of democracy. People want communities run by competent leaders, who keep their promises and take responsibility no matter how difficult a task may be, regardless of the circumstances. The local public administration must be rebuilt on a series of fundamental pillars, such as transparency, professional integrity, all put at the service of an essential principle: the public interest.
