Iohannis: Message on the day of the Romanian revolution victory

Justice must do its duty in the case of those guilty of the bloody repression of December 1989, said President Klaus Iohannis in a message on the occasion of the day of the Romanian revolution victory.

The head of state considers that the immeasurable pain of those who lost loved ones has been doubled in all these years by the inability of the state to do justice.

The health of a society depends to a very large extent on how the lessons of the past are learned and assumed, and that is why justice must do its duty, because any delay will turn this shameful backlog into a serious attack on democracy, President Klaus Iohannis also said.
