"PSD has changed 80 ministers" since taking office after the 2016 elections, said President Klaus Iohannis.
"On top of that, there have been 35 requests for reshuffles or resignations which generated everything but stability and normality", Head of State added.
Statement came in the context in which Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă accused the President of "blocking the activity of the government" by refusing to accept the interim ministers proposed by PSD after ALDE's exit from the government.
"The solution is not to prolong the crisis through measures such as appointing interim officials, but to resolve the situation as soon as possible in parliament," said Klaus Iohannis.
President Iohannis reiterated his request for the Prime Minister to stand before Parliament for a vote of confidence.
Earlier, Prime Minister also said she would call for a vote of confidence in Parliament.
"I warn the PSD to quickly put an end to this political crisis, which can turn into a crisis with direct effects on citizens. PSD risks to lead Romania into a deadlock which may include delays in the payment of pensions and salaries”, said Klaus Iohannis.
