Ethnic autonomy is not a desirable thing in Romania, and it should not be negotiated during crisis situations, President Klaus Iohannis said on June 20th, while on an official visit to Germany.
The head of state declared he was constantly informed about the political situation in the country, and the clarification was made in the context of the negotiations held by the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR) for the support of the no-confidence motion, which did not materialize.
Klaus Iohannis asked the Social Democrats to solve the problem they themselves created, adding that he wanted a fast solving of the political crisis and the re-entering of the country into a stability zone.
