Interior Ministry acquires Airbus helicopters for emergency services
H135 helicopters will be used for emergency medical operations and search and rescue missions.

Airbus Helicopters and Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs have signed a four-year framework agreement for the purchase of H135 helicopters and associated support services, for emergency medical operations and search and rescue missions in the country.
"Airbus has been an active player in Romania for almost 50 years and we are proud that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has chosen H135 for such critical missions. As a market leader, with over 600 helicopters in service for emergency medical operations around the world, I have no doubt that it will be a valuable acquisition for the country, meant to save lives", said Georges Durdilly, Head of Airbus Helicopters Romania.
Airbus Helicopters delivered over 1,300 H135 helicopters to customers worldwide, recording more than 400,000 flight hours annually. The operational domain of H135 includes law enforcement, emergency medical services, private and business air transport, maintenance of industrial wind farms and military training. The H135 model is the main reference in the emergency medical services, being available in a wide range of interior configurations that maximize operators' choice possibilities, offering vast spaces for the transport of a single patient or two patients. The family of helicopters H135 has more than 5 million flight hours, being in the service of over 300 customers from all over the world - says a press release from PR Raluca Lunculescu.
Signing of the agreement was attended by Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă and Secretary of State Raed Arafat.
