Interest in vaccination "remains low in Romania"

Interest in vaccination continues to decline in Romania.
Today, only 3.600 people have been administered their first dose, and 12.500 their third.
Yesterday, the Minister of Health Alexandru Rafila stated that the protection against the virus offered by vaccination is much lower at this moment when taking into account the Omicron variant, compared to the previous strains, but he strongly recommends further vaccination, because the proportion of serious cases and deaths is much higher in unvaccinated people.
He also mentioned that at this moment he does not see the urgency of the green certificate, as he believes that the 5th wave of the pandemic will end in a few weeks.
