Informal meeting of EU heads of state or government in Salzburg
European Union heads of state or government gather at an informal meeting in Salzburg on 19-20 September, to discuss internal security, migration and Brexit.

European Union heads of state or government gather at an informal meeting in Salzburg on 19-20 September, to discuss internal security, migration and Brexit.
Summit will be hosted by Sebastian Kurz, Chancellor of Austria, which currently holds the Presidency of the Council.
President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, will chair the meeting. He will represent the EU together with the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker.
In reference to internal security, European leaders will assess progress achieved to upgrade police and judicial cooperation, to strengthen border security and to strengthen resilience in cyberspace.
On migration, EU leaders will discuss the latest developments in the area. They will also assess progress achieved to reduce irregular arrivals and to cooperate with third countries.
As for Brexit, talks will focus on the EU-UK future partnership and on ways to organize the final phase of discussions, including the possibility to call another summit in November.
