The impact of the "little train" ordinance on the salary rights of Interior Ministry employees should be analyzed on Monday evening by representatives of the trade unions and the Interior Ministry.
The talks come after protests by police officers who complain that they will lose certain salary rights, such as overtime pay or weekend bonuses, because of the law.
Ahead of the meeting, the leader of the Europol Union, Cosmin Andreica, explained what other grievances have been signaled to the Interior Ministry.
Cosmin Andreica: We drew their attention to the fact that there is discrimination between the other categories that ensure 24/7 continuity, referring here to medical staff and social care staff who will continue to be paid for hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, I also drew attention to the fact that while we have these cuts in hours, we continue to grant bonuses for exceptional work and special missions, a kind of awards, which reach up to 50% of the monthly salary, amounts that are mainly received by the heads of the central apparatus of the MAI and those of the other arms.
