357 offenses have been recorded in the last seven days on the seaside, says Constanta Police. The majority of violent offenses were the result of spontaneous outbreaks of conflict or alcohol consumption.

Among the incidents, the police point out that on June 23, several people got into a fight on the seafront in Eforie. On the same day, a woman was threatened by another driver following a spontaneous traffic conflict, who then fled the scene.

He was later identified and an investigation was opened into the threat.

A few days later, another spontaneous conflict escalated into physical aggression between two people in Constanta.

Against this backdrop, the Interior Ministry organized a meeting to discuss priority needs this summer.

The 1.000 police and firefighters deployed on the coast from all over the country will be on duty until September.

There will also be 24 temporary work points in areas of Constanta county where large numbers of tourists are expected.

According to some estimates, around 180.000 tourists are expected to be on vacation this weekend on the Black Sea coast.
