An Honorary Consulate of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will be opened in Sibiu today, June 17.
The President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, and the Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, are attending today, in Sibiu, the 10th anniversary celebrations since Sibiu and Luxembourg were awarded the title of European Capital of Culture.
On this occasion, the Director of the Theater of Esch, Luxembourg, Charles Muller, and the Director of the "Radu Stanca" National Theater in Sibiu, Constantin Chiriac, receive the State Decoration "Cultural Merit as Officer" from the President of Romania and, respectively, From the Luxembourg Prime Minister.
The program of the day also includes watching a show performed by actors from the Luxembourg Theater, part of the International Theater Festival, which today has prepared for the public not less than 49 cultural events.
Also today, six great contemporary creators will be honored with stars on the Celebrity Alley in Sibiu.
