Historic moment in Romanian-Spanish bilateral relations. The first joint meeting of the Governments of Romania and the Kingdom of Spain takes place on today.
In the city of Castellon, with an important Romanian community, the final preparations were made. RRA correspondent, Alin Petrica, has details about the agenda.
A very full day is announced with a bilateral agenda that includes agreements and memorandums in the fields of labor, social protection, agriculture, culture and health. It is a historic meeting, because it is the first of the 141 years of diplomatic relations.
All discussions will focus on the Romanian community in Spain.
George Bologan, Romania's ambassador to Madrid: I can assure you that the agenda for discussions provides priority attention to the Romanian community in Spain, because it represents, without a doubt, the soul of the bilateral relationship.
From the Romanian side, in addition to Prime Minister Ciuca, the ministers of foreign affairs, health, labor, agriculture, development and internal affairs will participate.
On the other side will be the Spanish counterparts led by Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
This evening, from 18:30 local time, in the headquarters of the prefecture, the prime minister will have an open meeting with the representatives of the Romanian community in the area.
