Chairman of the Social Democrat Party (PSD), Liviu Dragnea, is being heard at the High Court of Cassation and Justice, in the fictive employment file at the General Directorate for Social Assistance and Child Protection in Teleorman County.
At the previous hearing, magistrates have admitted lawyers' request and have asked the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) to say whether there has been cooperation with the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) in dealing with this case.
In this file, Liviu Dragnea - who was, at the date of the facts, Chairman of the Teleorman County Council - is accused of instigation to abuse of office and to intellectual false.
According to DNA, Liviu Dragnea arranged that two persons be hired and paid at the Teleorman Child Protection Directorate, although he knew they were actually working in the Teleorman PSD Branch.
File was sent to Court in 2016 and had up to 14 court sentences.
